COGIC Justice was established in 2012 to assist in accomplishing two parallel missions. The first, is to serve as an online clearinghouse, providing information on the rules and procedures necessary to access the Judicial system in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC), and to the lay-member who seeks to understand the church’s judicial policies and components. Secondly, COGIC Justice exists to raise awareness for the pursuit of justice in the body of Christ.
“He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?” (Micah 6:8, AV)
If I can be of assistance, or if you want your story of injustice told, I can be reached by email at admin@cogicjustice.net. Leave me your contact information and I will respond as quickly as possible. Usually within twenty four hours.
Upon a congregational meeting for a church to transfer Jurisdictions. Is there a way to also count absentee votes. We will be holding such a meeting but many of our people work evenings and/or are elderly and dependent on ability of transportation but are in good standing & faithful tithe payers to the church. So we need to know if absentee votes are able to be offered to those whom cannot attend & how would we provide that to those members.
No, there are no exceptions for absentee ballots. It is a requirement, for those voting to be present at the meeting.
A Elder has changed the locks on our church. The Pastor has dementia. He is upset because the members do not want him as Pastor. Help!!!
This is not legal, the members of the local church can bring him up on charges. Who is your Bishop, can you contact him for help.
